Characte Animation | Shake Down Circus

Eos created the opening animation for Shake Down Circus, a charity burlesque show that raised nearly $1,500 for the ACLU of Ohio and the Columbus Kodiaks, an inclusive LGBTQ+ rugby team. The video was projected onstage to set the tone for a live audience of over 300, blending spectacle with empowerment.

All illustration and animation assets were created by Eos, including fully custom puppet rigs designed to match the performers' exaggerated, expressive poses. Special attention was given to smooth, seamless transitions—rather than using hard cuts, scenes flowed into one another organically. For example, bedsheets subtly become curtains, which are then pulled apart by puppet arms to reveal a new act. Characters interact physically on screen, holding each other's hands during acrobatics.

The final piece balanced humor, glamour, and technical polish, helping to kick off the evening with energy, style, and a little bit of mischief.
